The best way to gain levels in GW is to complete quests, siim. You will level up far faster this way than by killing enemies.

If you don't want to do quests, and you just want to grind out your levels, be my guest, but it's going to take you a while, if you are in Prophecies you are going to miss out on getting the Skills that some quests give as rewards, and you are going to have a hard time doing the Missions if you don't level up.

I'm just saying that doing quests for a little while is fine, then going and doing some indiscriminate monster-slaying is fine, swapping things up to keep boredom at bay is a good thing, but don't just quit doing quests, because in the end, you'll just be shooting yourself in the foot and slowing down your progress.

.

It sounds like you are in a hurry. Life or a decent game doesn't work that way. Quests not only help you level as already mentioned...they teach you the game and the storyline...you know...you are a hero and have to save the world here. It helps if you know why

Almost level 4? Getting to max level, 20, is a tutorial. Once you make your way to 20 the real game is about to begin.

It all depends on how you want to develop your playstyle really... quests are ultimately the fastest way to level, but I find that leveling without using quests may sometimes be faster in the end. For example, when I start a factions character, I don't do any quests until level 8, at which point I make sure I do every quest, this particular method insures that by the time I leave Noob Island (Shing Jea Island), I will be level 20 and ready to go. All in all once you hit level 20 the only thing left to obtain are skill points, so it depends on how you want to do things.

My reasoning is that level 1-3 Monsters give me experience up to level 6-8, which they do not afterwards, so use quests to fill the gap.

The only quests you have to do are the primary ones and they'll be listed as such in your quest log. You can ignore all the others and just go out exploring and killing stuff.

Ok, no offense intended, but with as many questions as you have (as evidenced by how many threads you've started), you might not want to rush through the quests. They serve as a great tutorial for beginner players. They answer all of the questions you've asked and some you didn't think you needed to know (but you do). Take your time. Prophecies is the longest campaign of all of them. Rushing through won't do you any good.
